What are you doing to reduce global warming?

There are so many actions we as humans can take to reduce and slow global warming.

For example, I always do carpool when going off town with other friends or family. I always recycle and put everything in the right container. I use my bike to go close places. I reduce the electricity usage in my house and many other things that we sometimes think don’t effect the cause.

What are you doing to reduce global warming?

I am doing nothing specifically to reduce global warming. However, I did switch to compact flourescents, but that was an economic decision. Does that reduce pollution/carbon dioxide emissions? Sure, and I consider that as a secondary benefit of the primary decision.

As technology continues to improve other products and processes, I will probably make other changes as well, but not until it makes economic sense. That probably sounds selfish to someone that is convinced that global warming is occuring. But, I work too hard for my money to spend it on anything that I don’t feel is worthwhile. When I am convinced that our emissions are the cause, then I will be forced to consider that as a primary factor in my decisions.

Many are convinced that global warming is occurring and that is fine. I have looked at a lot of information and based on the great number of variable, inputs, and feedbacks to the issue of global temperature, I believe that trying to do anything drastic now to affect emissions would be like putting a blanket over your head and trying to walk across a busy street. Before we spend money, increase our efforts, or impact productivity for this cause, I am prepared to wait longer for further information to clarify what would be the most effective changes, if any, we should make.

Nothing. It is not proven (or provable) that human activity has anything to do with it.

I’m not doing anything because I don’t care if trhe world is destroyed. Because I will be dead by then.

I’m always reducing electricity either at home or at work; especially at work since it’s one of those fancy, artsy-fartsy theatres. It’s a benefit since I do security here at work (like I am at this moment), and I always make sure that as many lights are out without creating a safety concern (for example, if there’s a fire, the firefighters doesn’t have to scramble to find the light switch, the lights are already on and they know where they’re going).

As for my vehicle, I’m embarrassed to say that I really haven’t done quite well in that department. My van’s on its last legs with the transmission not working properly when it’s not warm out (I do warm it up before I drive though) so I have to give it more gas to get it working properly. I am working towards getting rid of it and getting a new car that’s a V4 and smaller engine; somewhere around 1.6 litres to 1.9 litres.

I DEFINITELY think that our lifestyle is indeed affecting the environment. I think that global warming is a terrible issue plaguing our planet. Here are some means which I try to practice to reduce global warming. I encourage my parents to let me walk to school instead of they driving me. I am person that studies Environmental Science therefore I try my best to implore to people means of keeping a healthy environment. All I do is try best to ensure we have a clean environment by telling them about the effects of global warming. Right now its critical that we educate others about global warming. In addition, the pizza place where I work part time uses there waste carbon dioxide emitted to heat there hot water needed for various reasons. I was the one who encouraged this after seeing this on television. People should try to encourage this practice as the carbon dioxide emitted in atmosphere cause global warming. In addition, we use motorcycles powered by electricity when delivering pizza. All we can do is educate people on the topic as much possible. These include ways such as through the media ( radio, t.v. , newspaper), going into our schools and workplaces, using billboards, flyers, advertising on food articles such as boxes etc. Just as much as possible to tell about this problem and in doing so we evaluate the effects of gobal warming and ultimately means of mitigating the issue

we’re just the same. i also reduced the electricity usage, throw my garbage in a right container and as possible, i don’t take cars to near places. that’s the only way we can reduce global warming

We can also plant trees. They help clean up the Carbon dioxide in the air, while also providing food and shelter to the smaller creatures of the world. At the same time it also uses the sunlight for producing the carbohydrates and gives shade to the ground beneath helping replenishment of ground water. And all this it does for free……..
