We have been removing the oil from the earth for more than a century now. With less oil left in the ground to lubricate the axis as the earth spins around it wouldn’t this create a lot of friction heat that might be the cause of global warming? Couldn’t this also cause volcano’s.

I would think that NOW one would realize how big of an effect human pollution has on the environment, even if we are not the cause of global warming, landfills and wastes, the effects of not recycling, using too much energy and oil still takes a lot out on the environment and our civilization.

So are conservatives STILL turning a blind eye to environmental issues? If you dont believe it is that big of a deal or that we have that much of an effect, what’s the problem with at least going green? I dont see why people fight it.

Can you tell me the names of important scientists who has proofs about global warming?

I know global warming exists, but I want to have a deeper knowledge. Some people say "The cause of global warming is not humans." I want to be able to prove that they’re wrong.
I need reliable sources and names of scientists. If you help me, I’ll really appreciate that.

How do you decide the cause of global warming when 1/2 the scientist blame man and the other 1/2 blame the Sun

There’s enough research by NASA and other scientific groups that say the sun is the cause of global warming, and enough research by government saying that man is causing the Earth to warm.

What information do you use to choose the side you agree with? What criteria did you use to choose which group to believe?

Why are you so sure the other side is wrong? Both sides use scientist that have high degree of knowledge about the subject.

What are causes of global warming other than humans and greenhouse gasses?

Why do so many people confuse Global Warming and the Ozone Hole?

So often on this site and other places when asked about either the causes or consequences of global warming people bring up the ozone hole and CFCs. Either they state that it is a cause of global warming or is a result, neither of which is true. Or something to the effect of global warming leading to more UV rays, also not true. Why is there so much confusion over this?

What does it matter if global warming is or isn't caused by man?

The great debate as to wether mans eager consumption of fossil fuels contributes to, or indeed is the cause of, global warming seems to me a useless one. Does it really matter? None of the fossil fuels are an infinate resource, and the majority of what’s left of the crude oil is to be found in areas of the world not exactly known for stability. Shouldn’t we be making every effort to lesson our dependence on them as soon as possible, regardless of global warming?

I’m doing a project and I’m suppose to tell people how global warming is harming our forests.
I’m not sure how it is…so please tell me how it is affecting our forests.
I’ve been trying to look for pictures of how forests turned out ’cause of global warming but I can’t find any.
