I saw this a few days ago on planet earth or the nature of things. its not only global warming but the human population is getting too high. and one day the earth won’t be able to sustain us at all. thats what I see coming right now…

well to be rude polar bears can swim for miles
the ice melts every year the planet is polluted but
our leaders have decided to rip us off instead of acting acting irrigate the deserts plants trees restore mangrove forest eliminate unecssary dams plant hemp along rivers
capture co2 like they do in holland and use it in your greenhouses use wave generators at beaches for electicity focus on magnets not fossils and realy recycle what we can and focus on cleaning up the messes before propaganda

im not upset with you its just ide like to here some solutions and to see a bear that is increasing in number only threatened by man and grizzly bears moving north to escape human behavior people have been fined for shooting white grizzlys thinking they were killing a polar bear improper tags what a joke

So my four year old saw this video and thought a good way to reverse global warming was for everyone to turn off your heaters and open your fridge and freezer so it can get cold again, and stop melting.

Now that’s the best idea i’ve heard in a long time!….lol….God bless the little one’s!….thank you and have a great new year!

    Amazing clips!
    Visually stunning.
    Excellent production Utoob!
I am somewhat pessimistic about reversing the trend however – we collectively just do not give a rat’s ass when it comes to effecting our economics – our guilt is not strong enough to overcome our greed!
Great message – falling on too few caring ears.

I think what all you planet savers should do is check facts before you post your comments. If Polar bears are so threatened,,why do countries and in our U S and Canada still sell hunting licenses. Why are the Indians still allowed to hunt them, because it is their heritage. Come on people I implore you to check your facts. Most of you are probably city people who have no idea as to what is going on in the real world. Have a nice day and please look at the whole picture. Buffalo Bob.

Thanks for your opinion, very much appreciated Buffalo Bob!

“At the most recent meeting of the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group(Copenhagen, 2009), scientists reported that of the 19 subpopulations of polar bears, eight are declining, three are stable, one is increasing, and seven have insufficient data on which to base a decision—this is a change from five that were declining in 2005, five that were stable, and two that were increasing. The greatest conservation challenge to the polar bear is ecological change in the Arctic related to climate warming.”

  13. entropious88 says:

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service states, “In the declining polar bear population of Canada’s Western Hudson Bay, extensive scientific studies have indicated that the increased observation of bears on land is a result of changing distribution patterns and a result of changes in the accessibility of sea ice habitat.”

  14. entropious88 says:

The Oslo agreement was one of the first and most successful international conservation measures enacted in the 20th century. Its legacy continues today, with member scientists from each nation continuing to work together in face new threats to the bears including climate change, pollution, industrial activities, and poaching.
The whole picture is not quite as bright as you make it out to be.
